Pokémon launched by Nintendo at the beginning about 25 years ago and now Pokémon is well-known all over the world. As many of you know, with a slogan “Pokémon! Gotta catch ‘em all!”,
a boy whose name is Satoshi, a Pokémon trainer, try to catch monsters and train them to battle with other trainers or monsters.
Here, I would like to explain how to call each monster in JAPANESE.
By remembering how to call monsters in Japanese, you can learn some Japanese words.
Let me start from a slogan said by Satoshi when he catches a monster.
In English, he says;
“Pokémon! Gotta catch ‘em all!”,
In Japanese,
He says, ポケモンゲットだぜ!(Pokemon-getto-daze)
“ze” is a phrase used by males.
Now, let me introduce three pokemons (^-^)
No.1
フシギダネ is in Katakana.
Fusigi-dane
Bulbasaur
“Fushigi” ふしぎ means mysterious
Dane だね (たね)= seeds
生まれた時から
(Umareta-Tokikara)
Since he was born,
背中に不思議な種が植えてあって
(Senakani-Fushigina-Tanega-Uete-Atte)
he has a mysterious seed on his back.
体とともに育つ
(Karadato-Tomoni-Sodatsu)
The seed grows up as Fushigi-dane grows.
Among 18 types (タイプ ta-i-pu),
Bulbasaur belongs to grass and poison.
grass=草(くさ・kusa)
poison=毒(どく・doku)
Now, say….
ポケモンゲットだぜ!(Pokemon-getto-daze)
